100 Things I Like
I'm sorry I've been away so long.
It's been a stressful month what can I say.
I put this list of 100 things I like together as part of an email conversation with a friend but I found the exercise so interesting that I thought I'd post it up here and see what my readers have to say about it. It takes time to write up 100 different things you like (note this is not my TOP 100) but it's a lot of fun to think about all the things in life that you enjoy.
Anyway feel free to ask me questions about the list in the comments or to post up a list of 100 things you like on your own blog, it's a lot of fun.

Welcome back. You've been missed.
Remind me to yell at you later for the veal chop.
TMbG?
Maps and Globes, I love it myself. I am looking for one of those really old looking world maps to frame in our home.
Nice list, and welcome back!
For some reason this list is making me think of the old Mr. Rogers song:
"It's you I like,
It's not the things you wear,
It's not the way you do your hair--
But it's you I like
The way you are right now,
The way down deep inside you--
Not the things that hide you..."
TMBG = They Might Be Giants
Elie - when I was a little girl I used to think that was just the nicest song ever.
Nice list, Shifra...
Having my own washer/dryer - I don't know if most people can appreciate that one, but we sure can...!
Pirkei Avos - :)
Down Comforters - :( I think this is a guy/girl thing. Guys boil, girls are cozy.
And there's nothing like reminiscing.
Very useful and excellent information.

Nice list. I agree with much of it. I particularly like fireflies. It's something I wouldn't have thought of if I had made my own list but it makes me a little bit happier every time one lights up the night.
Ezzie- I'm a guy and I like down comforters. Just thought you should know that.
Oh and welcome back, Shifra. We missed ya!
Wow! I do believe we might be kindred spirits or something!
wood floors (and no carpets - especially shag)
The Oxford English Dictionary (but my new favorite is Garner's Modern American Usage - absolutely awesome).
sleeping in (I do believe that must be universal).
found money (I used to "hide" twenty-dollar bills in odd places and in my coat pockets. Seeing as how my memory stinks, I would always be delightfully surprised when I found them at the beginning of the winter season. It was also a great way to lighten the tedium of pre-Pesach cleaning.)
blogging
sharpie markers
Pesach (always my favorite holiday. I think it's the grandness of the seder. There's such a royal atmosphere.)
Ticonderoga pencils (Which hardness is your fave?)
Hot Showers
Clean Sheets (must be cool and crisp)
Down (not Comforters) pillows (I'm with Ezzie on the heat issue.)
email (majorly preferred over telephone correspondence)
Backpacks (I hate carrying a purse! I've only started recently because I couldn't handle my mother's pestering any longer. Also, during the warm weather, I have no pockets to stuff my wallet - a mens' style billfold - into.
fireflies
"The Shawshank Redemption"
Games and Puzzles (Crosswords rule!)
Fresh air and sunlight
Spreadsheets
old photos (You don't want to be in line after me to look at the photo album. I take forever to look through them.)
maps and globes (I have a world map hanging in my kitchen.)
You are tagged with the "Meme of Eight". Have fun with it!
Good list.
are you sure its a good list Jack? I mean, the poor girl dident include WAFFLES, chaz veshalom.
you came back for this?! go back to sleep.
Shifra, my husband still carries a backpack (not a briefcase -- but he's a computer guy so he gets away with it) and my diaper bag is a backpack, and my purse... well, I go back and forth depending on how much stuff I'm shlepping around with me besides the diapers. But I definitely have a backpack that is mine that I sometimes still use. But only one strap, because I was a kid in the 80s, and it was sooooo uncool to use both straps.
Welcome back! I hope your life gets less stressful.
I like a lot of the same things, too. :)
Good idea and welcome back.
RaggedyDad uses a backpack for work (though technically he is a night school student) and I use a backpack instead of a diaper bag. And although I also grew up in the time when one strap was the only cool way to go, I've since resorted to both straps. Gotta love the uncontorted shoulders look.
I use a backpack for my laptop...even on business trips.
Complete with orange streamer hanging off the back :)
The doctor told me no more backpacks for me. Not after, the "incident"
Wow, that is such a cute list and it really got me thinking about the bright side of life. Thanks.
This list was fun! It inspired me to post one of my own. A new meme?
Holy Hyrax: The incident where you rescued me from terrorists?
>Holy Hyrax: The incident where you rescued me from terrorists?
No.
It was something horrendously unholy. My doctor has stated its better I not talk about it.
Cabbage soup and spreadsheets? To each their own...
This is such a nice list! Maybe it should be the new meme- "things I like." :-)
Oops, there seems to be a problem with new posts. ;)
Hmmmm.... Crowd is getting restless. Looks like I will have to take charge.
Ok people, many moons ago, Shifra posted a list about stuff she wants to write about. Baruch Hashem, we read about the bath towel and types of hot chanies. Now, I say we continue the list on our own.
Next up:
"Things NOT to say to your wife in bed"
get to it.
"Things NOT to say to your wife in bed"
Somehow this is going to get me in trouble.
Shifra,
Is everything ok? We haven't seen you in over 2 months now! I hope all is well.
-Hila
Vanilla Ice, ice baby.
Ok, I could say: a good book on the morning, ice cream, a kiss from your girlfriend, your dog's greetings, a good laugh (I love that too). And the list would go on and on til infinite!
