Jewish Non-Fashion

What is a snood?

Here is a photo of the headwear in question- and no, there is no religious requirement to wear something so unflattering.

I was looking for the platonic ideal of a snood. The most basic of all snoods. Did I choose poorly?

I don't think Plato ever envisioned something that looked like this - even in his wildest imagination.

Actually I was doing some reading on the origin of the snood- it's really pretty ancient and of course not Jewish in origin.

Perhaps I will post my research at a later date.

I don't think it's much of a loss for the Jewish people not to get credit for this marvelous creation.

So, there's a very addictive computer game called "Snood", and a few of my friends were heavily addicted to it in college. When i tried to tell one of them why the name is funny (because it's also the word for The Amazing Hair-Sock), he didn't believe me. I finally had to go online and find pictures of women wearing snoods in order to prove to him that they exist.

When I looked up snood on google I got a lot of references to that game- how funny!
