What is a snood?
Here is a photo of the headwear in question- and no, there is no religious requirement to wear something so unflattering.

Are you a snood fan Amshi?
Thanks for the link, Shifra. Thanks to your tireless efforts, I am slightly less ignorant than before.
If it makes life eaiser sure why not?
Ortho mom of THE 5 Towns covers her hair!?!?!,holy erva batman.
do you really cover it or do you wear the snood so far back it only covers your split ends?
I said that *I* was wearing a snood not Orthomom. I'm sure she's much more fashionable than that!
so, do you really cover it or do you wear the snood so far back it only covers your split ends?
Yes I really cover my hair, is that surprising?
no and you should be proud,as much as america is about individualism, most of just follow the cow's ass in front of us,good for you brown cow.
Thank you... I think... Did you just call me a brown cow?
I think he did. And Brown Cow, you picked a mighty flattering snood to show your readers.
I was looking for the platonic ideal of a snood. The most basic of all snoods. Did I choose poorly?
I don't think Plato ever envisioned something that looked like this - even in his wildest imagination.
Actually I was doing some reading on the origin of the snood- it's really pretty ancient and of course not Jewish in origin.
Perhaps I will post my research at a later date.
Call me crass, but I agree qith Amshi. They didn't have these frum babes when I where I grew up.
Oh no! Not Jewish in origin? What would DB say?
Mom- yes I know, it's quite shocking, I'm sure he'll be stunned.
JPT no attractive rebbitzens in your community growing up? Maybe you just couldn't get past the snood in your youth...
Not everyone wears snoods...
DB would yawn. Toby Katz might have a coronary though
I don't think it's much of a loss for the Jewish people not to get credit for this marvelous creation.
So, there's a very addictive computer game called "Snood", and a few of my friends were heavily addicted to it in college. When i tried to tell one of them why the name is funny (because it's also the word for The Amazing Hair-Sock), he didn't believe me. I finally had to go online and find pictures of women wearing snoods in order to prove to him that they exist.
When I looked up snood on google I got a lot of references to that game- how funny!
