GLUB!

It really needs to stop raining.

The horrible oily water in my basement is at 8" and rising.
In addition I couldn't get in to work today because of flooding and my desk is probably covered in about 8" of paperwork as well.

OK no time to blog... See you... sometime.

yesterday, we took the kids to the park, but then it started to drizzle for about 3 minutes, and we had to go indoors. Damn LA weather. So I feel for you Shifra

I guess I can feel better now - we got only two inches in our basement!

Hope we both get out from under soon.

This is one of those times I'm happy that our apartment is upstairs! All that shlepping up and down, but thankfully, we're dry.

Gevalt! That's the only good thing about living in an apartment building: Someone else gets to clean up the basement. And I second Raggedymom about not living on the first floor.

We got flooded in the "flood of the century" in '97 so I really feel for you.

FEMA got involved and B"H we were able to get things cleaned up.

Look on the bright side: It's a good opportunity to decrapify your basement and get rid of all the stuff you should have thrown out before.

Shifra dear, my home never floods!

In the 7 years I've been living in my dream home, we've never had any sort of basement flood, electrical problem, roof leak, boiler issue, or anything like that.

It must be my wonderful nature that keeps the water away, or perhaps because I have my DH check our mezuzot every year.

Tootles!

HC.

Sorry Hot Chanie, but any comment coming from someone using pantene, is not really worth reading.

ack! a friend of mine who also lives out in the flood zone got a pipeful of water in the face when he was trying to reinforce his basement against leakage.

have you thought of investing in a boat?

Shifra dear; was it you who nominated me for a JIB? Or maybe it was psycho?

I posted about it, having come up for air from shopping.

*hugs*
